Saturday Plein Air - Goodale Park

We painted at Goodale Park today. Painters among the Segways, Labradoodles, squirrels, joggers and homeless people. It was so hot and humid that there was a haze even at 9am. We painted quickly and headed home by 11am to camp out in the AC.

I can't seem to get a good photo of my painting, but hope you can see it well enough.

This is gorgeous! You are a trooper! I would not want to have been out there on the day.

I can't imagine painting in a heat wave ... finally we have warm weather here. 84 today here at the house, tomorrow not as warm, 79 I think I heard.

I love how you've found color in the cement path and in areas of the green vegetation. Really nice.

I sometimes 'tone' the panel before I start. I put a thin watery coat of acrylic Napthol Red on the board and let it dry. Having an under color sometimes helps to make a harmonious color scheme and gives it some sparkling notes that catch your eye.
