Different Stroke Painting of the Week - Cow

FUN! I love to paint cows.
This is the latest entry into Karin's weekly challenge.
This is pastel on velour mat board (my favorite surface),
and is about 6" x 9".

I love the folds of her chest - so surprised I pulled that off! And love her top-knot too.

Oh Nancy, this is really nice you did a great job on Karin's cow. You seem to be a natural with pastel.

Nancy, really nice work. Not only the surface but the colors are velvety and soothing. One of my top favorites so far for the week.

Yes, you really nailed the chest area. I feel like I could reach out and touch it. Very nice composition, too.

Thanks everyone. Its alot of fun when it all works, I wish it happened on each new painting. But you have to take the good with the bad. I try to also show my failures on the blog, to show my viewers the frustrating part of being an artist.
