Different Stroke Painting of the Week - Manhattan

"Taxi Time" 5 x 7 Pastel on suede mat board

Here's my entry in Karin's current DSDF challenge of Madison Ave., NYC.

I took Karin's advice and painted small, but I still struggled with the buildings and windows. I loved doing the taxis! Lots of interesting colors.

    Ooh, I like what you've done with the buildings! Soft and colorful, with just enough suggestion of form to let my imagination fill in the details.
